Alexa Pascioni, MD was born and raised in Miami, FL. She was inspired to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology by her own first appointment, appreciating the comfortable environment her doctor created for all women to seek care. After graduating high school, Dr. Pascioni attended Florida State University in the honors program where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. She continued her education at Florida State University College of Medicine graduating with her medical degree in 2015, where she was awarded the Myra Hunt Award for Excellence in Medicine and served as the president of the American Medical Women’s Association. Her last two years of medical school were completed in Pensacola, FL which remains one of her favorite places to visit.
Dr. Pascioni completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2019 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. While in residency, she served as administrative chief resident and completed training in robotic gynecologic surgery. Dr. Pascioni then joined the Group for Women to pursue her career as a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Pascioni has a great appreciation for all aspects of women’s care for patients of all ages and walks of life. She has special interests in adolescent gynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, postmenopausal care, and shared decision making with her patients. Dr. Pascioni is trained to perform DaVinci robotic assisted surgery, offering her patients state of the art minimally invasive surgical options. One of Dr. Pascioni’s favorite aspects of women’s care is pregnancy management. She is passionate about helping every woman achieve a healthy pregnancy and delivery, taking great care to consider each patient’s personal goals. She also has a special interest in fitness and nutrition during and after pregnancy and has experienced the benefits first hand.
Dr. Pascioni and her husband enjoy exploring the area with their two young children and their dog, Stokes. On their time off, they venture to the beach or nearby trails and love to dine at local restaurants. She and her husband also love watching college football, despite a sometimes intense rivalry. Dr. Pascioni enjoys staying active through her Peleton and yoga practice. She has a passion for horses and volunteers with a local horse rescue.
