Dr. Jon L. Crockford, has been with the group for over 35 years and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). His practice is now dedicated to the subspecialty of FPMRS which manages urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and other related female pelvic disorders.

Treatment therapies for female pelvic disorders include up to date conservative treatment, physical therapy, neuromodulation (Interstim and PTNS), and minimally invasive surgery. With his subspecialization from OB/GYN to FPMRS, Dr. Crockford has opened a center called the Mid-Atlantic Center for Female Pelvic Medicine which has allowed him the opportunity to offer on-site physical therapy to assist patients with pelvic floor therapy and other non-invasive treatments.  

Dr. Crockford received his undergraduate and medical school education at the University of Virginia where he was awarded memberships in Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his postgraduate residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University Medical School, Barnes Hospital, in St. Louis. Dr. Crockford has served as Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and President of the Medical Staff at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and Sentara Leigh Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have grown triplets: two sons and a daughter and 5 grandsons.
